Privacy Policy

PitchSend ("PitchSend," "we," "us") helps investors triage inbound pitch decks and deal introductions. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — with particular care for the email data you may choose to connect.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the service:

Account information — the email address you provide when you connect, and basic profile details (name, fund) you choose to add.
Deal content you send us — pitch decks and the surrounding intro text you forward to your unique PitchSend address, or that we detect in a connected inbox.
Connected-mailbox data — if you connect Gmail (see Section 2), the messages and attachments our systems read to identify and extract pitch decks.
Usage data — limited technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

2. How we access Gmail

Connecting Gmail is optional. If you choose to connect it, you authorize PitchSend through Google's standard OAuth flow using the read-only Gmail scope (gmail.readonly). We request read-only access for a single purpose: to detect incoming pitch decks and deal introductions and add them to your dashboard. We never request permission to send, modify, or delete your mail, and we never act as you.

You can disconnect at any time from your PitchSend settings or from your Google Account permissions, which immediately revokes our access.

3. How we use connected-mailbox data

To classify whether a message is a pitch/deal introduction.
To extract the pitch deck and a short intro summary for your dashboard.
To score and rank deals for you.

Processing is automated. We do not have humans read your email, and we do not use your mailbox content to train generalized AI models.

4. What we store — and what we don't

We do not store full email bodies. We extract only what the service needs — the sender, subject, a short intro excerpt, and attached decks — and discard the rest.
OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and used only to perform the scans described above.
Extracted decks and deal records are stored so we can show them on your dashboard, and are deleted on request.

5. Limited Use disclosure

PitchSend's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, data obtained through Google APIs is:

used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy;
not transferred to others except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition;
not used or transferred for serving advertising; and
not read by humans unless we have your explicit consent, it is necessary for security or to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or your mailbox data. We share data only with infrastructure providers that help us run the service (for example, cloud hosting and database providers) under contractual confidentiality obligations, and only as needed to deliver the features above.

If you opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile phone number solely to deliver them. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

7. Data retention & deletion

You can disconnect Gmail or delete your account at any time. On disconnection, we revoke and delete the associated OAuth tokens. On account deletion, we remove your stored deal records and profile. You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@pitchsend.ai.

8. Security

We protect data in transit with TLS and encrypt sensitive credentials at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit what we collect and how long we keep it.

9. The no-OAuth alternative

If you prefer not to connect Gmail at all, PitchSend offers a unique forwarding address. You forward only the deals you want us to see, and we never touch your broader inbox.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
